Alumnae Association Awards
At the 2018 Kappa Kappa Gamma Convention, the St. Louis Alumnae Association was one of five finalists for the McNaboe Most Outstanding Association Award. This award has been presented at every Convention since 1940 in recognition of an association's overall excellence. To be considered for this award, an association must be in good standing according to the Fraternity Bylaws, Standing Rules and Policies, use ritual in its association operations, distribute its newsletter annually, be inclusive and foster sisterhood, establish a commitment of giving, update the association Bylaws biennially, and assist or interact with a collegiate chapter. One overall winner is among the finalists at each convention.
Winner of the Rheva Ott Shryock Chapter Assistance Award. This award recognizes associations for outstanding service to chapters through both social and financial contributions.
Fleur-de-Lis Alumnae Award
HISTORY
The St. Louis Alumnae Association saw a need to formally recognize a member of the association for her support and dedication to the local Kappa organization. Nancy Allen, our Philanthropy Chairman at the time, wanted to take this opportunity to support the association and purchase a special commemorative award in memory of her dear mother Louise, who was also a Kappa. Louise was a 1939 initiate of the Gamma Iota Chapter and served as its President. She was a loyal and dedicated Kappa, which was the inspiration for the Fleur-de-lis Alumnae Award.
